Winning In Albuquerque After hearing the great Albuquerque songwriters on Sunday night (May 15) at Art of the Song, and feeling that the songwriting bar was set extremely high, I was getting a bit nervous for the showcase at Winning Coffee Company on Tuesday (May 17). Sunday 05.15.2016 Art of the Song Slept in a little on Sunday morning, then took a nice walk along one of the acequias in South Valley of Albuquerque, New Mexico (took some photos that Laura would use as model to paint). It was nice to relax all morning and afternoon after three days of driving to somewhere. The 101 to the 134 to the 210 to...
East…Mountain “She’ll take I-15 to I-40…” Loaded up the Highlander and were off by 8 a.m. on Thursday morning. Our route: THE 101 to THE 134 to THE 210 to THE 15 to THE 40. A couple of hours through mostly clear Los Angeles (ok—San Fernando Valley) traffic and a lunch stop at the original Del Taco in Barstow, CA (we all have our list of sacred places, the original Del Taco is one of ours). Hit the 40 at about noon, and the rest was smooth sailing all the way to Holbrook, AZ
